Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Life Support from issued from Heart and Stroke. Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Current certification in IV Therapy. Current triage skills. 3-5 years experience in Emergency or Urgent Care. Understanding of the concept and delivery of Urgent Care. Evidence of integrity, initiative and sound judgement. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills. Demonstrated accountability for own practice. Demonstrated strong prioritization and assessment skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Good mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognized institution. TNCC, NRP, EPICC, PALS, and CTAS. Recent charge nurse experience within Emergency or Urgent Care is highly desired. Recent rural nursing experience is an asset. Pediatric experience is an asset.
