Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Proven ability to function in an acute medical nursing environment within the last 6-12 months. Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing technology. Current Heart and Stroke BLS-HCP certification. Strong assessment and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Strong Critical thinking and problem-solving solutions. Ability to contribute as a team member, learn within a dynamic environment and adapt/cope with change. Demonstrated excellent time management and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with clinical documentation standards (SCM, Connect Care). Candidates with previous experience on a unit of comparable acuity/patient population are strongly preferred.
