Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of the perioperative nursing course or extensive Operating Room experience. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for an extended period of time. Ability to stand for long periods of time to support the surgical team.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered. Previous or current Operating Room experience. Previous experience in Minor Surgery Clinic. Previous charge nurse experience is considered an asset.
