Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years’ of public health experience within the past five (5) years. Strong communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of population health. Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years within the past four (4) years’ experience in an STI Clinic or Sexual Health setting. Knowledge of Contact Management. Experience documenting in electronic health records, including Microsoft Office programs. Experience with First Nations Inuit Health (FNIH), Aboriginal and rural communities, outreach work and harm reduction. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered.
