Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent (within 1 year) experience in an acute care setting at full scope of practice. Must pass cardiac sciences core orientation and dysrhythmia certification exam per unit standard to ensure safe standard of care. Must possess the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching and sustained posture within a fast paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, pulling of objects greater than 30 lbs. Demonstrated ability to perform and document physical assessments. Orientation as a Registered Nurse in FMC Cardiac Sciences, including Cardiac Core. Demonstrated ability to administer medications within the acute care setting. Demonstrated critical thinking skills re clinical judgment and problem solving. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Basic computer skills.
