Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduated from an accredited Nursing Education Program. Current registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current BCLS-HCP certification is required. Current NRP certification is preferred. Current ACLS certification is preferred. Min 2 years of recent med/surg nursing exp. Min 2 years of recent obstetrical nursing exp. Completion of SCC’s will be expected.
Preferred Qualifications:Cardiac monitor interpretation is an asset. Excellent communication skills. The ability to balance numerous demands & conflicting priorities is essential. The candidate must be able to work well independently and within a team. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, within scope of practice, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills and strong decision making ability.
