Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum five (5) years of experience in community program development with Indigenous communities and organizations (i.e. First Nations, Métis Settlements, Métis Nation of Alberta, Inuit, urban Indigenous agencies and organizations). A minimum five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience in any of the following but not limited to: Acute Care, Primary Care, Community or Public Health, Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes Education) , Mental Health and Addictions, Harm Reduction, Maternal-Child Health, Palliative Care, Rural Nursing and/or Health Promotion/Screening Strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to speak an Indigenous language (i.e. Cree, Dene, etc.) would be an asset. Certified Diabetes Educator is preferred.
