Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:- Graduation from a recognized nursing education program - Current registration and practice permit with the CARNA.Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification - Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be adaptable to a rapidly changing environment and have strong organizational skills. - Must also meet the following requirements: - Successfully pass the Stollery Medication Administration exam done at the time of interview - Successfully pass the Stollery PEARS course and the Stollery Medication Administration exam with 90% or more
Preferred Qualifications:- Preference will be given to applicants with recent acute care pediatric experience. - Experience with children with multiple or fragile medical conditions and care of children with tracheostomies are considered assets and preferred.
