Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) and current CPR (BLS-HCP) are required. Basic computer literacy is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong Family Centered Care philosophy are required. Note this position may be eligible for an educational opportunity: 2 week classes beginning November 9th, 2021. The incumbent will be trained to have a thorough understanding of the care of the level 2 and level 3 neonatal patients. Successful pass of a Math Calculation Competency Assessment of 90% is required to be considered for hire.
Preferred Qualifications:A BScN is preferred. Recent acute care experience, post-partum/mother baby care, or pediatrics experience is preferred. Previous NICU experience is an asset.
