Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent nursing experience (within 2 years) in maternal/postpartum and newborn assessment and care, NICU, Pediatrics or Labor and Delivery is required. Recent experience (within 2 years) immunizing babies, preschool and/or school aged children is required. Ability to be self-directed and to exercise independent nursing judgment required. Strong interpersonal skills required. Experience in interdisciplinary teamwork required. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and organizational skills required. Valid driver's license and vehicle required. Working knowledge of computer required. Must be able to use IPC compliant hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap as per IPC guidelines.
