Your Opportunity:

The Rocky Mountain House Health Centre is an active rural hospital. We provide 24 hour Emergency Services, Obstetric & Surgical services, as well as maintain 31 Acute Care beds. The local Emergency Department provides emergency services to a community population base of more than 20,000. This includes the Town of Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County, Nordegg and the Sunchild, O'Chiese and Bighorn First Nation Communities. Working within a multidisciplinary team of compassionate and dedicated health care professionals, the Registered Nurse will utilize your critical thinking and problem solving skills to competently provide direct patient and family centered care to clients across the life span. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, quality care following policies and guidelines of Alberta Health Services. You will be expected to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with excellent communication while prioritizing conflicting demands. You accept responsibility for continuing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, and continuous improvement activities. Rocky Mountain House is located 84 km west of Red Deer in west-central Alberta on the North Saskatchewan River. One word that could describe Rocky Mountain House is "opportunity". Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
