Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate with the interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure. With multiple competing priorities. 3–5 years of related acute care, and emergency room and continuum of care experience. Strong assessment skills and triage training are an asset. Ability to handle conflict and work towards solutions. Familiarity with EMS and RAAPID processes. Proficiency in clinical systems such as Connect Care, Tableau, and REPAC. Ability to interpret data and make informed destination/deployment decisions under the guidance of the PFC/AHN. Comfortable working in a high-volume, technology-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in emergency department, bed management, capacity coordination, or patient flow. Knowledge of Edmonton Zone services and site-specific workflows. Experience with escalation protocols.
