Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Skilled in clinical decision making and priority setting; demonstrated critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment. Patient teaching and family support skills. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. NRP Certification preferred. Post RN NICU course preferred. Recent level 3 NICU experience preferred. Recent Critical Care experience or University Preceptorship in NICU considered. Post graduate continuing education on breastfeeding teaching and support preferred. Experience with eCritical/Metavision.
