Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Rockyview General Hospital (RGH) in Calgary! RGH is Calgary’s second largest hospital site. Located in the city’s Southwest, it provides acute, outpatient, critical care, surgical, medical, neonatal intensive care, mental health, seniors, women’s and emergency health services. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the RN plays a key role in support of an integrated holistic approach to the patient’s health care, health promotion and health maintenance. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe quality care following the policies and guidelines of AHS. You will serve a diverse patient population with a continual focus on the core values of AHS – compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety. You will display critical thinking and problem-solving skills in providing direct patient and family centered care to patients across the life span with a professional and positive attitude and excellent communication. This multi-unit position will include Mental Health – Unit 45, 48, 49, Crisis Stabilization Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Services. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.87/hour - $43.82/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
