Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year recent experience in a variety of health care settings, including experience in clinical areas that require high levels of independent assessment, and triage skills. They will also require recent experience working with diverse client populations. Interacting with clients over the telephone experience is required. They will also have the ability to successfully deal with stress in a high call volume contact center, in addition, they will be able to work comfortably with a variety of computer applications and complete electronic clinical documentation. A minimum typing speed of 28 WPM is a must. Intermediate computer skills are also a requirement for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered.
