Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:One Year experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Department. CTAS- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certification in the last 2 years. Non Violent Crisis Intervention 2 day training course.
Preferred Qualifications:ENPEP - Emergency Nursing Provincial Education Program. CAM-A- Cardiac Arrest Management-A module. ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Lead II. TNCC- Trauma Nursing Core Course. Trauma 101. ENPC- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course. PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Pediatric Building Blocks. NRP- Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
