Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must possess strong critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to problem solve and organize in a busy work flow environment. Basic computer skills required. Requires the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching and sustained posture within a fast paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, pulling of objects greater than 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:ACLS certification preferred. Recent experience, skill and knowledge in advanced dysrhythmia and 12 lead ECG interpretations, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation and intra-aortic balloon pump preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with related experience who are motivated to succeed and can successfully complete the provincial critical care orientation program.
