Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months prior to the application date.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a clinical setting as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Must be able to aid in patient transfers, support the lifting and movement of patients as needed and assist EMS staff with loading of patients onto stretchers. Must maintain clinical competencies within their scope of practice as determined by AHS. Be able to demonstrate satisfactory past work performance and relevant work experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team. Excellent ability to multitask utilizing a variety of different computer software and technology combinations in a busy and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Community Paramedic Experience preferred. Previous experience in a community health or urgent care setting preferred. Previous leadership experience preferred. Previous program development experience is considered an asset.
