Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma Excellent communication skills and collaborative skills required. Computer skills including MS Office, and experience with electronic charting is essential. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. This position is anticipated to have high physical demands based on the client need. The successful candidate needs to be physically capable of pushing wheelchairs for an extended period of time, loading clients onto the bus for outings, supporting the clients in a range of physical hygiene tasks and assisting with client transfers over the course of a full shift. The successful candidate requires a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

Personal Support Aide (PSA) certificate or equivalent preferred. Previous Personal Care Aide experience an asset. Related Recreation Therapy experience and/or working with elderly or physically challenged individuals an asset.
