Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). Minimum three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active ATRA Membership. 2-3 years with supervisory/leadership experience. Experience working with individuals with addictions and mental health concerns. Experience with individual and group program facilitation. Heart & Stroke Foundation – BLS (current).

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist through National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) an asset. Class IV Driver’s License an asset. Strong patient and family centered approach with the ability to work within a collaborative team environment, as well as engage in the patient experience, from a site perspective. Demonstration of punctuality, dependability and attendance record verifiable by references.
