Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Degree in Recreation Therapy, Leisure Studies or Recreation Administration is required. Active registration with ATRA/CTRA (Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association/Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association) is required. BCLS-HCP is required. Demonstrated expertise in geriatric care required. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational and prioritizing abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years current practice with one year in a community-based setting preferred. Knowledge of active living and calendar event planning in related community dwelling seniors. Knowledge of day programs and other community resources an asset. Computer program proficiency (e.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficiency in Connect Care.
