Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate in Therapeutic Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies or equivalent criteria to meet requirements for Registered Professional membership with The Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. Valid CPR is required. Active membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience in a community mental health and/or rehabilitation setting preferred. Knowledge of and ability to respond to cultural needs of diverse populations is also an asset. Experience in community capacity building, placement and community development specific to this population and working with.
