Ready to make a difference in healthcare? We’re seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Radiopharmacy Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Foothills Medical Centre. In this vital role, you’ll support nuclear medicine procedures by preparing and dispensing high-quality radiopharmaceuticals in a safe, compliant environment to be sent to this hospital for use of a patient waiting. As a key member of the team, you will label, prepare, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals following strict regulatory, safety, and quality standards. You'll perform quality control testing, maintain accurate documentation, InVitro procedures, radioiodine dispensing and treatment of patients, follow aseptic and radiation safety practices. You’ll also participate in radiation safety and quality control, staff training, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with Health Canada and CNSC regulations. You’ll be part of a dedicated team passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Your strong knowledge of radiation safety, GMP standards, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities will be vital to your success. This role is physically active: expect to stand and walk for long periods, regularly lifting to 50 lbs. (lead shielding) and perform repetitive tasks like bending, pushing, and twisting. Description:

As a Radiopharmacy Specialist, you will prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals from both commercial kits and raw materials. You will assist in the use and maintenance of scientific equipment and instrumentation, radiation and workplace health and safety procedures, develop and write Standard Operating Procedures, check supply inventory, prepare and dispense radiopharmaceutical kit production and assist in the packaging and transportation of radiopharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or a related field or equivalent level of education and experience. Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Certification with the Canadian College of Radiopharmaceutical Scientists (CCRS) where applicable.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A min of 2 years Radiopharmacy experience within the last 5 years. Experience with application tracking - radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control and distribution, equipment quality control. Registered Licensee with the Health Disciplines Board of Alberta, Successful completion of CAMRT registry exam, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Class 7 Certificate, Basic Rescuer.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS).
