Bachelor's degree in science or engineering related field from a recognized university. Technical certification in a related field with the appropriate Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of previous experience with radiation safety activities; experience with a similar licensed activity would be an asset. Knowledge and experience with regulatory/licencing bodies and legislation with respect to Nuclear Medicine, radiopharmacy and/or radiation devices. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership and project/program management Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to explain complex issues or difficult situations. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, and mentor others Able to work with a diversity of people
Preferred Qualifications:Strong quality mindset including safety champion, just culture, and lean/six sigma principles. Promote collaborative decision-making processes and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Expertise in risk analysis and crisis management with creativity and vision to anticipate problems and solutions. Working knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, Calendar, internet.
