Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. . A combination of equivalent education and experience may also be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Applications from Provisional Psychologists may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Doctoral degree in professional psychology, including internship/residency (CPA-accredited). Training in assessment of pediatric (preschool and school-aged) populations with diverse neurodevelopmental, medical, and psychological presentations. Competence in administering and interpreting standardized tools assessing intelligence, academics, memory, executive functioning, and attention. Expertise in autism spectrum disorder diagnostics (e.g., ADOS-2, diagnostic interviewing) and able to independently assess and diagnose autism, including ADOS/ADOS-2 research reliability. Collaborative team member with an understanding of multidisciplinary roles and perspectives. Demonstrated interpersonal and professional skills, including self-awareness, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. Experience contributing to organizational change, including vision-building, risk identification, workflow design, goal setting, performance monitoring, and mentoring. Committed to fostering psychological safety, inclusivity, and reflective practice. Family-centered and neurodiversity-affirming, with strong communication and collaboration skills across diagnostic teams, community services, and partners.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum five years of relevant clinical experience, including collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Completion of all degree requirements, including dissertation. Proven expertise in assessment and differential diagnosis of developmentally complex children, with comprehensive understanding of pediatric populations with medical, neurodevelopmental, behavioral, academic, and psychosocial challenges.
