Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of two years' experience within a mental health setting. Solid knowledge of the common psychological tests used to assess cognitive functioning, personality and psychopathology. Experience in administration and interpretation of psychometric testing. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team or independently. Excellent communication skills. Extensive experience in completing comprehensive psychological reports. Familiarity of the court process as it pertains to defending psychological reports and for the purpose of court ordered assessments. NVCI and CPS training.
Preferred Qualifications:One or more years’ experience as a psychologist in a related field. Previous experience in a forensic and/or mental health setting. Final PHD focus in the area of Forensic Psychology. Previous experience in custodial settings.
