Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of two years (within the last 5 years) experience working with an inpatient or outpatient mental health population. Experience in administration and interpretation of psychometric and neuropsychological testing. Ability to work both autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team. Extensive experience in completing psychological reports. Experience with providing individual, family and group therapies. Excellent communication skills. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years’ experience as a psychologist in a related field. Previous experience in forensic and/or mental health setting. Final PhD focus in the area of Forensic Psychology. Previous experience in custodial settings. Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) training.
