Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Working within the Pediatric Rehabilitation Division on multidisciplinary teams offering assessment, consultation, and/or treatment, the focal age group will be primarily pre-school and school-aged children, although some services may also be provided to younger children (i.e., infants, toddlers) or older adolescents. The psychologist will complete developmental, cognitive, behavioural, and/or learning assessments for children with complex physical/medical, developmental, and learning problems. Differential diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a critical component of this position and training will be provided for the right candidate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provisional psychologists will be considered, and supervision will be provided. Although a doctoral degree is preferred, serious consideration will be given to master’s level psychologists with a strong assessment background.
