Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

NVCI training. Three years recent (within the last 5 years) experience working with a mental health population. Minimum of three years' experience relating to participating, collaborating and communicating with individuals, families, communities and team members and internal/external stakeholders in regards to the clients plan of care. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting or alone. Recent use and working knowledge of current risk assessment tools required. Solid interpersonal communication skills, interviewing techniques and writing skills, working knowledge of mental health/mental illness required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a community setting and in forensic mental health is an asset. Knowledge relating to the Alberta Review Board legislation.
