Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years clinical experience within women’s health. Recent experience working in a hospital setting (within the last 2 years).BLS - for Health Care Providers Level C.Ability to organize and set priorities.Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative.Above average communication skills as well as the ability to work closely in a collaborative team both within the Allied Health service as well as within the program teams.Ability to establish positive working relationships with a wide variety of patients and families.Recent experience in psychotherapy/counselling with patients and families.Demonstrated ability to function independently within a patient/family-centred environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Training and experience in formal psychological assessment. Experience with initiating and completing projects.Demonstrated ability to provide clinical service within a continually changing health care environment.
