Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Appropriate training and current knowledge in relation to assessment tools and instruments. Professional Membership(s). Registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. A minimum 5 years within the last 7 years of experience in community mental health setting providing MH treatment to children, youth & their families who have complex mental health issues with associated cognitive, behavioral & developmental delays/disorders. Must be knowledgeable regarding treatments currently in use for children and youth with psychiatric illness. Must have proven communication, assessment, organization, and critical thinking skills. Advanced knowledge and skill in mental health assessment and intervention, including significant experience in group facilitation. Must have family therapy skills, supplemented by strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively & contribute positively to change in emerging services/programs. Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Current CPR certification at the BLS level is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Child and Family Services, Disability Services (FSCD), schools and other health partnership initiatives, multicultural groups, program development and community resources for children and adolescents is preferred. Preference will be given to those with knowledge, skill and experience in eating disorders and DBT.
