Completion of master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited university required. 2-4 years’ experience working in community mental health. Demonstrated understanding of Substance Use. Demonstrated understanding of Concurrent Disorders. Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)/ Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) or other specialized trauma treatment. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability within a complex and rapidly changing environment and may involve working with clients who present with criminal or suicidal tendencies; potential exposure to violence and aggression.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification in a trauma protocol such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) would be an asset. The ability to perform assessments, such as Capacity Assessment, Cognitive Assessments, and/or Psychological Assessments, is preferred. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological testing protocols is preferred. Experience in primary care.
