Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years' recent experience in Addictions and Mental Health. Non-violent crisis intervention training. Sound observation and strong verbal communication skills. Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in an Acute Psychiatry setting. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in daily schedule and patient needs. Working knowledge of patient and family centered care principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the CoACT model of care. Working knowledge of trauma informed care. Health Care Aide Certificate and Mental Health First Aid Certificate
