Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience within AHS’ Protective Service or possess at least 5 years of experience in Hospital Security, Public Security or Law Enforcement with a minimum of 2 of them as a supervisor. Consideration will be given to articulable experience as an Acting Team Leader, a willingness to pursue a leadership role, a proven record of development within the department will be considered on a case by case basis. Applicants will possess a minimum of 2 years Post-Secondary Diploma in a related discipline with a preference given towards law enforcement. The position requires a valid class 5 non GDL driver’s license.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in working with Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize database reporting system eg. Perspective. Able to work rotating 12 hour shift work (4 on, 4 off) including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education in excess of minimum with a focus in Policing or Criminology. Familiarity with Risk Assessment such as WAVR-21. Certified CPTED assessor training. Valid ICS-100 and 200 training for emergency response management is an asset. Valid Non Violent Crisis Intervention certificate. First Receiver CBRN HAZMAT training. Past or current instructor certification in area such as First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Verbal Judo, or Office.
