Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Active or eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer I by the Alberta Solicitor General. Completion of the Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.) within 6 months prior to commencement with Alberta Health Services. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Valid class 5 non-GDL driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years post-secondary education in a law enforcement or criminal justice discipline. 2 years post-secondary education in Security, Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice preferred. 2 years related security/law enforcement experience preferred. WHMIS training preferred. Certificate in CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention and Pressure Point Control Tactic an asset. Valid First Aid certificate preferred; valid BCLS - Level C certificate preferred.
