Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or other equivalent formal education. Experience in supporting a variety of activities related to operational and/or strategic health service planning. Knowledge and experience in the application of project management principles and techniques to include planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Excellent computer skills including expert user knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access database queries and reporting. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Ability to search out and evaluate up to date evidence. Communication skills and ability to create and foster strong partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong writing skills and ability to summarize literature or data in a relevant and meaningful way. Excellent organizational skills.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Alberta Health Services systems, processes and familiarity with AHS Medical Staff bylaws/rules. Experience in change management, forecasting modeling concepts, and continuous quality improvement processes. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team setting. Experience with risk analysis. Knowledge of legislation governing the health system including information and privacy Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, tight timelines and produce high quality deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Project Management qualification for example PMP would be an asset. Five to seven years related experience. Experience working with complex databases and the creation of custom, targeted reports. Experience pertaining to projects involving physician service delivery. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Experience in managing change at a systems level.
