A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. 3-5 years’ experience program coding SQL queries and stored procedures and/or SAS base and macro language at the intermediate level. 3-5 years’ experience with large complex relational databases (min 500GB). 3-5 years’ experience in data management methodologies, technologies and standards. 2-3 years’ experience in project management. 1-2 years’ experience in information technology.

Demonstrated ability to think systematically and critically. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications. Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey technical information or transfer knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and evaluate methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree plus other recognized designations related to health informatics, computer programming, and project management is preferred. 3-5 years experience working within a healthcare organization. Experience working with cancer data is highly desirable. Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders within Cancer Control Alberta.
