Your Opportunity:

It is an exciting time to be part of Alberta Hospital Edmonton (AHE) and Henwood as we realize Ambition 2023 – a five year strategic plan to renew programs and services and become the trusted voice for mental health and addictions. You will lead an interdisciplinary team responsible for overseeing Henwood Residential Addiction Treatment Centre as well as clinical support services at AHE with some zone responsibilities. At AHE, Central & Support Services includes: Central Service Managers at AHE; 24/7 Zone On call for Edmonton Zone Addiction & Mental Health; AHE Transportation which also offers zone wide services; AHE Mail Services; AHE Physiotherapy; AHE Dental; AHE Recreation Facilities and General Evening Recreation; AHE Clinical Nurse Educators; AHE Pastoral Care which also offers zone wide services; as well as education and policy support for AHE and Henwood. The Program Manager also provides leadership, in partnership with the Program Manager, Allied Health & Patient Experience, to pre-vocational and vocational programs that are vital for positive, meaningful and recovery focused care. Description:

Reporting to the Director of Tertiary, Forensic & Residential Services, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the patient and client experience. You will provide operational oversight and program leadership applying the best evidence informed practice and using a continuous quality improvement approach so that services delivered meet the ever changing and complex needs of patients. As a Program Manager, your main responsibilities will include: Program/service renewal including evidence-informed changes to achieve improved outcomes. Implementing and maintaining standards of practice. Resource allocation including HR and finance. Performance development, hiring, supervising and evaluating staff. Change management approach to all work. Support portfolio colleagues on initiatives that require portfolio-wide coordination.

Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in a health professions field. Current registration and membership in good standing with a regulatory college. Five years management experience; clinical and supervisory experience. Competent in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, building relationships and championing system change. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master’s degree is preferred as is experience in a healthcare environment.
