Your Opportunity:

The Program Manager (PM) is a key leadership role in the Facility/Supportive Living (FSL) program within the Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) portfolio and reports to the Director of Facility/Supportive Living. This exciting and challenging position provides oversight to the Continuing Care Homes (CCH) in the Edmonton Zone, leads and oversees other ALA managers and front-line teams, works closely with and provides coverage for the other PM roles in the portfolio. The CCH’s comprise both CCH Type A & Type B (including some very specialized units) as well as Integrated Home and Community Care (HCC) Type 2 clients. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration with health care partners within the ALA Continuing Care program, Edmonton Zone, and throughout the province, when providing oversight and direction for effective care delivery and staff support in the FSL program. Responsible for supporting the key priorities of Assisted Living Alberta when evaluating and optimizing services within program. Manage human and financial resources. Makes key decisions and has direct leadership responsibility for establishing and contributing to the achievement of the goals of the program. Provides oversight and direction to a team of Operations Managers in managing and leading a multidisciplinary team. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders and partners to provide effective and safe quality care. Works with the ALA Operated and Contracted Service Providers in monitoring contract accountabilities, quality of care issues, client/family concern issues etc.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a health related discipline – Master’s level preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A minimum 3 years of progressive leadership/management experience in a health related field. Previous experience in Continuing Care. Previous experience in working with organizations who support clients with physical, medical as well as addiction and mental health issues. Experience working with multiple organizations. Registration or certification with a professional body as applicable. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal, and mentoring skills are required.
