Your Opportunity:

Health Shared Services is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to join our Space Management team. This role is responsible for leading a team of planners and coordinators in the development and execution of accommodation strategies for non-clinical spaces across AHS-owned and leased facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that space planning supports staff, programs, and the delivery of health services across the province.

Description:

Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of 10–12 space planners and coordinators. Develop and implement accommodation strategies for office and community spaces. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to optimize space utilization. Support the development of policies and procedures for space planning and management. Oversee small to medium non-clinical projects, including tenant improvements, upgrades, and staff relocations. Ensure alignment with strategic goals and fiscal responsibility. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Finance) plus appropriate licenses and designations in project management, planning or other related areas. A minimum of ten years progressively responsible experience in space management and accommodation planning, preferably including experience in healthcare or other large institutional, publicly funded environments of significant size, complexity and diversity. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience in space planning, facilities management, or related fields. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Knowledge of accommodation strategy, capital planning, and real estate coordination. Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
