A minimum of Bachelor-level degree in Business Administration (including Human Resources Management), Health Administration, or a related field. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ people-centered experience, with coaching, leadership development, quality improvement, and recruitment strategies, ideally in an organization of substantial size and complexity. Is client-focused, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 3 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Well defined leadership skills including comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Change management expertise, combined with experience developing standard processes, policies, and guidelines. Possess excellent consulting, advisory, problem solving, and analytical skills. Is proactive and able to manage multiple priorities and competing demands. Can effectively analyze situations and develop plans, balancing principles with situational realities using flexibility, creativity, good judgement, and discretion. Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict management skills. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships, influence others, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of the role that EMS plays within Alberta Health Services. Experience working with public safety personnel.
