Required Qualifications:

A Baccalaureate degree with the completion of a dietetic internship. A valid practice permit in the College of Dietitians of Alberta. A minimum of 5 years in a Nutrition Management role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience an asset). A clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Practical experience in leading strategy and operational planning, including developing vision, goals, objectives, metrics/ key performance indicators. Knowledge and demonstrated application of leadership principles, change management theories and approaches, business planning, modeling concepts, and program and project management theories, principles and practices. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, executing plans, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation and build solid relationships, including zone operational leaders, provincial programs, and external partners such as university, government, non-profit organizations, etc. Strong organizational skills and ability to balance and prioritize extensive priorities across the continuum of care and lifecycle. Education and experience on program evaluation and research. Commitment to providing quality services, and experience with continuous quality improvement.


Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Master level degree in adult education, nutrition or management. Experience in Population and Public Health. Education/training in project management, evaluation methods, and/or evaluation of evidence.
