Procurement Specialist II
Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Procurement Specialist II, you will perform complex purchasing functions consistent with established procurement policies, practices, legislation, and trade agreements. You will be responsible for the acquisition of supplies, minor equipment, services, or supporting functions within assigned work groups. You will perform the acquisition process primarily for purchases of a transactional nature, including researching and compiling information, preparing requests for quotations, reviewing quotations, creating purchase agreements, and issuing purchase orders. Under the direction of the Manager, you will coordinate and monitor assigned team purchasing activities and act as a source of knowledge by answering questions, providing technical advice, and assisting in the training of staff.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
