A post-secondary Degree in Law, Information Science, Information Management, Political Science, Public/Health/Business Administration, Health Sciences or related area. Information, Access, and Privacy Certificate (IAPP) is highly desirable. General knowledge of information privacy principles with specific knowledge of Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act and Health Information Act (HIA) or other similar information access and privacy legislation is required. Experience with communications, training, project, risk and change management is highly desirable. The capacity to lead self and others through change and demonstrated abilities to be solution based in approach will be critical to the success of this position. Ability to interpret and apply legislative principles. Superior customer service, relationship building skills, writing, editing, reviewing, proofreading, speaking, listening, critical thinking, organizational, and consultation skills are necessary. At least 3 years’ experience working for a public service organization, within an Information & Privacy, Information Management or Risk Assessment role is required.
