Description:

As an EMT - A Supervisor with ALTA Paramedic Health (APH), you will be responsible for providing a Basic Life Support (BCLS-HCP) level of pre-hospital care. You will perform a leadership role, supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective paramedic services within your assigned district and zone. Your responsibilities will be achieved through effective supervision, sound self-management, and the promotion of best practices for both internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, verified by a certificate from Lifemark, is required for all applicants who do not currently hold a clinical position within ALTA Paramedic Health (APH) (including VESST, Clinical Educator, EMR, PCP, ACP, and Community Paramedic roles). The F.A.R.E. test must be completed within six (6) months of the application date. ALTA Paramedic Health (APH) may verify results with Lifemark to confirm successful completion. Preferred Qualifications:

Preference is given to those with previous EMS experience in a metro, suburban, rural, or interfacility environment and in other areas of Health Care and Public Safety. Completion of additional post-secondary programs is considered an asset. Applicants must provide proof of program completion for any post-secondary education or training at the time of application for it to be considered during the selection process.
