Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
Additional Required Qualifications:Certification as a 4th Class ABSA Power Engineer is required. Valid class 5 vehicle operator’s license is required. Computer skills (Computerized Maintenance Management System, EXCEL, WORD and Outlook). Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work and work well under stressful conditions. Knowledge to operate building automation systems, H.V.A.C. systems, boilers, chiller, Water treatments systems, refrigeration equipment and other plant equipment. Knowledge of plumbing installation and repair. Understands the importance of confidentiality. Must possess good communication skills and be fluent in speaking, writing and following written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:Reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams. Trade certification (plumbing, electrical, instrumentation) would be an asset. The ability to participate in snow removal as needed. Two years’ experience in Power Plant operation, building automation systems is desired. One year experience working in a maintenance role within a Health Care facility desired. Water treatment level 1 certificate. Wastewater level 1 certificate.
