Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
Additional Required Qualifications:Holds a valid, minimum 4th Class ABSA certificate. Strong communication skills: verbal and through written logbooks and emails. Elementary technical/professional experience required. (i.e.1-3 years). Minimum of 2 years broad experience in operation and maintenance of; boilers, turbines, generators, refrigeration, electrical switch gear, cooling tower, chillers, steam and heating systems and associated automated control systems. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities: Power Plant steam and/or power generation. Under supervision, Incumbent is to use good judgement in solving technical problems arising in day-to-day operations. Knowledge of General Safety Service Act relating to Plant Operations and associated regulations. Writing reports. Basic computer Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Working knowledge and hands on experience of BMS systems (Honeywell will be given preference). Previous experience in a Healthcare facility power plant highly regarded.
