Plumber
Your Opportunity:
The University Hospital is looking for a new team player, as we are actively seeking a skilled plumber to join our dynamic team in a temporary full-time position. Your reputation within the plumbing community has not gone unnoticed, and we believe you would be an excellent addition to our facility. In this role, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining the operational efficiency of our institution, performing a wide range of daily repairs and maintenance tasks such as drain cleaning, fixture repair, heating and cooling systems maintenance, and overseeing dialysis water systems, lab water systems, fire/sprinkler maintenance, and compressed air systems. A valid plumbing trade certificate is essential. What sets this opportunity apart is the chance to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment alongside various trades, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering a rich and rewarding professional experience. Additional certifications—such as a backflow certificate, Medical Gas Certificate, and other safety tickets—are highly valued, along with an understanding of the complexities of working in a hospital setting. With numerous ongoing projects throughout the facility, the successful candidate will also be responsible for reading blueprints and plans and contributing to project reviews. Physical agility is required, as the role involves lifting or moving 20–50 lbs, walking long distances, bending, kneeling, and working in tight or awkward spaces. If you are a dedicated and qualified plumber seeking a challenging yet fulfilling opportunity, we invite you to apply and become an integral part of our healthcare community. Thank you for considering this opportunity; we look forward to potentially welcoming you to our team and seeing the valuable contributions you will bring to the University Hospital.
