Your Opportunity:

The Accommodation Planner reports directly to the Program Manager, North Sector, Space Management, Capital Management. This position provides space planning solutions and advice to external stakeholders based on information gathered during an investigative process to understand their operational requirements. The successful candidate will be capable of independently managing multiple complex projects and tasks with competing priorities. There will be daily communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Description:

Space Management supports the functional needs of community clinical and administrative operations as they relate to physical space. The Accommodation Planner plays a key role within the planning team in responding to user requests as well as aiding in the initial planning and final implementation of planning initiatives. As the accommodation planner, you will provide advice to ensure that user’s operational needs are met and future needs are considered. To be successful, the planner will understand and adhere to standardized lean processes, use appropriate forms and templates and align with established standards, processes and policies. A significant portion of the planner’s work is done independently. The planner is responsible and accountable for; Space reviews where the current space allocation or furniture no longer meets operational needs, planning for minor reconfigurations, Site Utilization evaluations requiring data collection and analysis and advising internal stakeholders regarding lease renewals. The Accommodation Planner reviews programs current space allocation, furniture layouts and test fits when program space is no longer meeting operational needs, or the function of the space is changing. To assist in facilitating change, the Planner will scope, plan and implement reconfigurations and moves. In addition, the planner will be brought into scope and facilitate moves as they relate to new and existing staff, project work or site decommissions. The planner will work closely with other internal Capital Management teams such as Real Estate, Property Management, Facilities & Maintenance and Project Management. Other duties as assigned. The Planner’s work is varied and ever changing, providing an always exciting environment where skills are constantly growing.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Social Sciences, Interior Design or Architecture from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience working in a complex organization of significant size.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel. Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe, PowerPoint.
