Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in related fields as well as working experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant. Reliable, honest and dependable. Flexibility to support services at other sites dependant on workload demand. Ability to safeguard South Zone information as private and confidential. Ability to follow and adhere to AHS policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Ability to build relationships - internally and externally. Communication (verbal and written) and listening skills. Problem solving skills and decisions making skills. Ability to effectively work with others, resolve problems and make decisions. Ability to influence others to achieve results. Organizational skills with ability to prioritize activities, resources and times. Customer/client focus. Possession of a valid driver’s licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel. Ability to perform duties as outlined on the Physical Demand Statement (PDS) for the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Courses in computer applications (Current statistical program and patient database, Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access). Meditech experience.
